CHORUS:
Your blood, Your blood is a soul cleansing flood
Your love, Your love, You poured out for us
You drained the dregs of Your heart plum dry
To pay the ransom for sinner such as I
VERSE 1:
Lord, I was lost and dead in my sin
I didn’t care for You but You longed to take me in
To show Your light to my sin blind eyes
And turn my world to color
From black and white
VERSE 2:
Now my eyes can see quite well
I see now I’d been standin’ on the cleft of hell
And how Your lovin’ hand reached down, down, down
And purchased my freedom with a thorn made crown
VERSE 3:
One day Lord, You’re coming again
In Your glory, from heaven You’ll descend
You’ll robe me in Your righteousness alone
Clean before the Father, Washed white before the Throne

It’s sure but unforeseen, promised in Your Word
We’ll suffer as you did in this fallen world
Through trials and toils and snares, Your Name we’re blessed to bear

Enduring, Abounding in love beyond all compare
You feed my soul, You make me whole
You satisfy me with your love

It’s pictured in the way You paint the skies at dawn
Heard in the melody of every evening’s song
All nature mirroring Your gift of love to me
All good things from Your hand

Give thanks to the Lord for He is good His love endures forever

You’re the water in a barren land
My heart follows hard after You, God
You uphold me with a mighty hand

Power and glory are in Your sanctuary
Loving kindness, better than life
VERSE 2:
Enemies are close behind me
Seeking only my soul to destroy
But I’m sheltered under the Most High
What they sow in tears, I reap in joy

My lips will praise you, I’m captivated
Only Your love, satisfies

Hidden, hidden in the shadow of His wings
Covered, covered by the corner of His robe
I am safe, safe within the tower of His name

No longer chained by my old life
I am not my own I am His child

Forgiven, forgiven for the glory of His name
Written, written in the wounds upon His hands

The bridegroom our life

We are bought by the blood of Christ
He is steadfast at our side
We are not our own we are His bride

VERSE 1:
Was there silence over yonder?
Did the angels cease to sing
As they waited on in wonder
For the mandate of their King
When the Royal word was given
By which our hopes were crushed
Was there silence up in Heaven
Were the Hallelujahs hushed?
VERSE 2:
Was the gloom of death's dark shadow
Graven in creation's brow
As every hope lay shackled
And despair the rising sound
Chimes on downbeatsBass
As the dark of night was broken
on the third day's morning rays
Was the breath of heaven stolen
As he marched out from the grave
BRIDGE:
And I know that when we enter
The celestial courts above
Every thought and eye will center
On the object of our love
The silence then will break
By triumphant bursts of song
For the Word the King has spoken
Which has bid us join the throng
CHORUS:
Our Captain of Salvation, bringing Your sons to glory
Our Life and Resurrection, You loved us in Your suffering
Our Perfect Mediator, the Just and Justifier
Our Brother, strong Redeemer, The risen reigning Savior

VERSE 3:
And Josh said I heard from God this morning And today we're going in
Don’t be scared boys the walls are tall
Taller than ol' Sihon and Og
Ohhhhh don’t you worry boys
Cause the bigger you are the harder you fall
VERSE 4:
Well the plan was stranger than i thought
No fighting here boys it’s time to walk
Don't let me hear no grumblin’ here

VERSE 5:
Let me hear ya go
One two three four five six sev’n
Round those walls we're circlin’

BRIDGE:
Well the trumpets they are a singin’
And the people all are a screamin’
And the walls they are a tumblin’

The third release from North Wake is as beautifully diverse and deep as we've come to expect from these artists from North Carolina. The song's strong lyrical connections to the books of Hebrews, Jude, Joshua, Deuteronomy, and the Psalms; mixed with musical influences from Aretha Franklin to Journey makes a strong appeal to those of diverse musical tastes and who love the Bible. There is truly something in this album that everyone will like. The album begins with the classic doxology of Jude set to an acoustic rock groove. The rockabilly sounds of "Your Blood" are easily singable making it crossover to a corporate worship song. "Trinity Song" with it's banjo and four to the floor stomp, has echos of Mumford and Sons; while the driving sound of Raise a Shout takes its cue from ZZ Top. A full orchestra and choir give a dramatic performance that builds into an anthem of worship in Was There Silence Over Yonder. And all North Wake albums thus far have ended with a modern take of one of the Psalms. Tetelestai concludes with a hauntingly beautiful take of Psalm 139.
